Counselor: psychological harm ok to protect greater good?
If having an Autistic type mind and communication problems was not confusing enough, the argument that causing psychological harm can be excused is even more confusing for me as suggested in this recording. Intelligent people should be able to find solutions which prevent or minimize causing any sort of harm. This is one complaint I have about mental health and law enforcement because it seems like acting intelligent is too much trouble for many claimed professionals. Perhaps I am just naive about how normal people are forced to think. I am told that I lack some types of empathy, but at the same time I seem to have more kindness and compassion than a majority of people. My flaws have been tying to learn better social skills from people who believe in a pecking order and like to peck. Then there is the problem that more and more people seem to think the pecking order is a good thing. All I see from it is a bunch of Peck-s, etc. Of course a scientist could easily end up on top using the atomic bomb idea suggested in the recording. The lawyers and politicians should think about it.
